Members of the Kenya Aviation Workers’ Union (KAWU), including some employees of the Kenya Airports Authority and the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, began a nationwide go-slow. The union said that the Kenya Airports Authority, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and other bodies had failed to meet union demands covered by a previously signed return-to-work arrangement and had made no effort to resolve the related issues. According to media reports, flights were delayed or cancelled at several airports, including Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, and passengers remained stranded at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
