挪威王室宣佈，哈拉爾五世（Harald V）於二十八日上午六時三十五分（世界協調時同日四時三十五分）於奧斯陸大學醫院「過世（passed away）」，終年八十九歲。根據挪威政府，哈康八世（Haakon VIII）已依憲法繼位，御名採用「Haakon VIII」，並繼續使用「Alt for Norge（爲挪威奉獻一切）」作爲王室格言。
King Harald V of Norway dies
The Royal House of Norway announced that Harald V had “passed away” at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet at 6:35 a.m. (4:35 a.m. UTC on the same day) on the 28th, aged 89. According to the Norwegian Government, Haakon VIII succeeded to the throne in accordance with the Constitution, adopted the regnal name “Haakon VIII”, and continued to use “Alt for Norge (All for Norway)” as the royal motto.
