日本關東地區凌晨二時發生M5.9級地震。震央位於茨城縣南部，震源深度六十八公里。根據日本氣象廳數據，此爲二〇二一年十月以來首次於東京都區部觀測到震度五弱以上。東京都江東區有水管噴水導致道路淹水，關東部份區域發生水管破裂及供水異常。據媒體報道，是次地震已造成三十七人負傷。

An M5.9 earthquake occurs in Japan’s Kanto region at 2 a.m. The epicentre was in southern Ibaraki Prefecture, with a focal depth of 68 kilometres. According to data from the Japan Meteorological Agency, this was the first time since October 2021 that a seismic intensity of lower 5 or above had been observed in Tokyo’s 23 wards. In Koto Ward, Tokyo, water gushed from a water pipe and flooded a road, while water pipe ruptures and water-supply disruptions occurred in parts of the Kanto region. According to media reports, the earthquake has injured 37 people.
