印度演員Vikram與瀕危白掌長臂猿互動影片引發野生動物調査
印度泰米爾電影演員Vikram在Instagram發佈與一隻瀕危白掌長臂猿互動之影片後，泰米爾納德邦林業部門開始調査該動物之來源，以及其持有及轉移程序是否符合法律。調査顯示，相關白掌長臂猿此前由曼尼普爾邦轉移至泰米爾納德邦，八月五日再由埃羅德縣轉移至Vikram一名親屬位於清奈之住所。印度野生動物犯罪控制局亦已要求當地野生動物部門核査相關文件。目前當局尚未認定該動物經走私進入印度，亦未認定Vikram擁有該動物或參與將其帶入印度。
Wildlife investigation launched after Indian actor Vikram posts video with endangered lar gibbon
The Tamil Nadu Forest Department launched an investigation after Indian Tamil film actor Vikram posted an Instagram video showing him interacting with an endangered lar gibbon. Officials are examining the animal's origins and whether legal requirements governing its possession and transfer were followed. The investigation found that the gibbons concerned had previously been transferred from Manipur to Tamil Nadu, with one male and one female transferred from Erode district to the home of a relative of Vikram in Chennai on 5 August. India's Wildlife Crime Control Bureau has also asked local wildlife officials to verify the relevant documentation. Authorities have not concluded that the animal was trafficked into India, or that Vikram owned it or was involved in bringing it into the country.

インドのタミル映画俳優ヴィクラムが、絶滅危惧種のシロテテナガザルと触れ合う動画をInstagramに投稿したことを受け、タミル・ナードゥ州森林当局は、動物の出所や飼育・移送に関する法的手続きが守られていたか調査を開始した。調査によると、関連するシロテテナガザルはこれまでにマニプル州からタミル・ナードゥ州へ移送され、八月五日には雄一頭と雌一頭がエロード県からチェンナイにあるヴィクラムの親族の自宅へ移された。インド野生生物犯罪取締局も、関係書類を確認するよう現地の野生動物当局に求めている。当局は現時点で、動物が密輸されたとの結論には至っておらず、ヴィクラムが動物を所有していた、またはインドへの持ち込みに関与したとも認定していない。
