Consortium signs concession agreement to build waste-to-energy plant in Casablanca

A consortium comprising Swiss-Japanese joint venture Kanadevia Inova, Moroccan energy company Nareva and Japan’s Itochu Corporation has signed a concession agreement with Casablanca’s city government to build a $1.5 billion waste-to-energy plant in Casablanca. Construction on the project is scheduled to begin before the end of this year, with the plant expected to become fully operational by mid-2030.
