Saitama Prefecture releases results of 2025 survey on gender equality
Accordding to Mainichi Shimbun, Saitama Prefecture released the results of its fiscal 2025 survey of residents’ attitudes and circumstances concerning gender equality. According to the results, fewer than 10% of respondents said that men and women were equal in politics, social conventions and prevailing attitudes, including customs and traditions, and society as a whole, while more than 50% said that they were not equal. In family life, 36.6% said that equality had been achieved, exceeding the 33.2% who said that it had not. In school education, 32.9% said that equality had been achieved, compared with 14.6% who said that it had not.
