New York Times reports that the U.S. Justice Department asked telephone companies to submit phone records of its reporters and their relatives

The New York Times reported on 20 July that the U.S. Justice Department had demanded that telephone companies submit the phone records of its reporters and their relatives as a part of the investigation into the source of its report about safety concerns involving a new presidential aircraft. The New York Times asked the court to reject the related subpoenas.
