全南光州統合特別市正式開始運作
今日零時「全南光州統合特別市設定特別法」正式生效，光州廣域市與全羅南道正式撤銷，合併爲「全南光州統合特別市」，根據前述特別法可簡稱「光州特別市」。

Jeonnam–Gwangju Integrated Special City officially begins operations
At 00:00 today, the Special Act on the Establishment of the Jeonnam–Gwangju Integrated Special City officially came into force. Gwangju Metropolitan City and South Jeolla Province were formally abolished and merged to form the ‘Jeonnam–Gwangju Integrated Special City’, which may be abbreviated to ‘Gwangju Special City’ under the aforementioned Special Act.

全南光州統合特別市が正式に運営を開始
本日午前零時、「全南光州統合特別市設置特別法」が正式に施行され、光州広域市と全羅南道は正式に廃止され、「全南光州統合特別市」へ統合された。前述の特別法に基づき、「光州特別市」と略称することができる。
